Promises

We all know how we feel when someone breaks a promise to us.  Our trust in that person diminishes.  We feel hurt and, at times, we wish to retaliate.  Think then about how you must feel when you break a promise you have made to yourself.  Could it be that you stop trusting even what YOU say?  Could it be that your feel hurt by your own actions?  Could it even be that you want to retaliate against yourself?  Now, take that one step further.  What about those promises you make to God?  I will let you do the analysis of what the outcome might be.  Just remember however, that God is a loving God who clearly understands our frailties.  He forgives easier than he harbors ill feelings.  But still, those promises you make to yourself and to God when broken have an impact to you mentally, physically and spiritually.
