Spiritual Champion

All of us have an internal yearning to be connected to something beyond us.  Because of this internal yearning, we form religions to explain what it is we feel.  Spiritual Champion attempts to move outside of religion and explain our Spiritual Self in a way that allows us to feel and sense the nature of our Spiritual Self without the need for religious doctrine and rules.   The program will explain that we can accept religious concepts without becoming pedantic about the very nature of the religion we embrace.

The nature of this program and the author of this book does ascribe to the concept that some being or force beyond our nature created all that is.  He does not however feel a need to embrace any one religion or denomination of religion in embracing his Spiritual Self.  This program’s purpose is to help you understand your Spiritual Self and how to have peace with the nature of ourlife on this planet and beyond.  The author believes that there is a force beyond this life with which we can connect and receive guidance.  This program provides an understanding of how to best make and maintain that connection without the need to embrace a religious philosophy.

Each of us is made up of four components:

  1. Our Physical Nature
  2. Our Intellectual Nature
  3. Our Emotional Nature
  4. Our Spiritual Nature

Our Physical Self

In order to exist on this planet, we need an EarthSuit in which to exist.  This EarthSuit allows us to breathe the air, eat the food, and do other interfaces with the nature of this planet in order to exist.  We live within this suit much as we exist within the car when we get in to drive.  We control the EarthSuit to do what we want.  Without us inside the EarthSuit is but a part of this world that has no purpose or meaning.  Our Physical Self is part of our worldly being.

Our Intellectual Self

Within our EarthSuit is a brain.  This brain not only controls the function of the EarthSuit but provides us with a means to bring analysis and logic into our world here.  Our intellectual nature allows us to examine the world around us.  We can develop theories of our world and beyond, how we live within it, and all other aspects of life and life beyond.  Our Intellectual Nature must always be on guard against the desires of our Emotional Self.  In addition, our intellectual nature is always trying to bring an understanding of our Spiritual Self, even sometimes inventing stories that bring that understanding whether real or not.  Our Intellectual Self exists within the confines of our worldly experience.

Our Emotional Self

Our reactive nature is driven by our Emotional Self.  Emotions are a driving force in our life.  Emotions provide reactions to stimuli around us.  Emotions also provide a driving force that makes us move into areas we would normally not venture both good and bad.  Our Emotional Self is tempered by our Intellectual Self.  It can also be what tries to bring an explanation without logic to our Spiritual Self.  Our Emotional Self exists within the physical reality of our life.

Our Spiritual Self

There is a part of us that lacks a clear explanation in terms of our physical reality.  It is the part of us that brings a sort of wisdom to our life.  We know there is something beyond the physical reality of this world in which we exist but we can’t quite bring an understanding to it even though it is a constant desire for us to do just that.  Religion comes from our spiritual nature.   Religion is our attempt to bring understanding to the Spiritual Self we feel within us each moment of every day we spend on this planet.  We use our Spiritual Self to explain not only why we are here but to explain where we will go when our EarthSuit wears out or some other calamity destroys the vessel in which we exist.  Over the centuries we have created gods to help us bring peace to this force we feel.  That we can never really bring an explanation to this force is most likely true.  That there is danger in bringing religion into the picture is also true.    Somehow, it would be best for us to know that wisdom is probably the most important factor that comes from our Spiritual Self and that we should be satisfied in using it to control our Emotional Self.

Through the Lens

Through the Lens is a book that brings greater understanding to using the Bible and other material to help form a more positive spiritual connection.  This is NOT a traditional look at the Bible.  It looks at the history of how it developed, and explains how it can be used as an instrument of our spirituality but does not accept the concept that it is without error and an absolute document on how we must live our life.    The concepts presented in Through the Lens are great discussion topics for consideration during a webinar program.  You may if you wish download a copy of this book.

If you would like hard copies of the books mentioned here they are available on Amazon at the links listed below.
