The actions we take each is in large part controlled by the conditioning we have received over many years. That conditioning has caused us to form habits of thought that affect the decisions we make in life. Some of the conditioning we have received helps us in our daily life. There are however those factors that interfere with our ability to make forward progress toward our desired outcomes. The decisions we make and how we act are often a direct response to the conditions we have “built-in” to our thinking over our lifetime.
This lesson will help you better understand the concept of conditioning. It will show you how to change the effects of the negative conditioning to which you have been subjected.
Making changes to past negative conditioning does not happen just because you want it to. Like changing any condition, changing these habits of thought, this negative conditioning takes time. Conditioning comes from habits of thought you have developed over many years and as such, change as with any habit takes time. Be patient and work diligently to remove those old negative habits and replace them with more positive habits of thought that drive more desired actions. Understanding habits of thought and conditioning and knowing how to make changes will bring benefits to your life now and for years to come!
